6 Cleaning Tips with Regular Household Products

Ever thought to use your regular household products as cleaning supplies? You may have your own tricks, but Unexpected Elegance had a few we couldn’t help but share with you!

Dryer Sheets are great for dusting since it picks up dust instead of just moving it around.

Baking Soda is great for dealing with odor in the kitchen, whether it be the fridge or trashcan. It can also make a great carpet cleaner, plus it helps deodorize. Sprinkle a little bit on the carpet. After letting it sit for awhile, vacuum.

Baking Soda & Vinegar mixed together work well for both unclogging drains and refreshing smelly towels. To unclog drains, “use a funnel to pour in 1/2 cup baking soda followed by 1 cup vinegar. When it stops foaming, flush with boiling water. Wait about five minutes, and then flush again with cold water.” To freshen up smelly towels, run the towel through the washer on the hottest setting with a cup of vinegar. Do the same a second time, but with a half a cup of baking soda instead.
